Nain - Wood and Power Concerns

Tony-Andersen_01.jpg Nain AngaujukKak - Tony Andersen It may be a cold Christmas for residents in Nain. Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro has issued a release asking people living in the northern coastal community to cut back on electricity. We all know Christmas is when the turkey is in the oven all day, and the colourful lights stay lit until late in the evening. The cut back comes after a generator engine busted at the hydro plant. On top of electricity issues, the community didn’t get their full order of firewood for the winter season. To explain what’s going on, Tony Dawson has AngaujukKak Tony Andersen on the line from the Inuit community government office.
