Getting Back to Normal - Labrador City Hospital

All hospitals have an emergency plan in case of any major event or catastrophe. Last week the plan for the Captain William Jackman Hospital in Labrador City had to be put in place. Thick smoke from a fire next door enveloped the building, and there was a danger the fire would spread. The emergency plan called for the Salvation Army Citadel to be used as a temporary hospital. Other considerations had to be made as well. On Friday the hospital re-opened and patients were moved back. Labrador Morning’s Mike Power met with some of the Doctors and hospital staff. They told him what it as like for them last week.
