High winds and rough waters cause damage in Cartwright

cartwright boats.jpg Boats damaged in Cartwright (photo: Marg Hopkins) It was quite a gusty Friday across Labrador. And the worst damage came from Cartwright with wind gusting to 95 km/hour. Two ships broke off from the marine centre. A long linger called Elizabeth Ann and a sailboat from France called Le Taravana were damaged extensively. Barb Mesher lives close to the marine centre in Cartwright and got a surprise knock on her door early Friday morning. Labrador Morning’s Colleen Connors reached her at her home in Cartwright.
