Max Winters - Volunteer Hall of Fame
Max Winters - Inducted to the NL Volunteer Hall of Fame Max Winters has thousands of hours punched in as a volunteer. Born in Makkovik, Winters moved to Happy Valley - Goose Bay as a kid. He felt a strong connection to his community and wanted to give back as much as he could. He was a major player in the growth of softball and hockey in Labrador. And even 60 years later, he still gives his free time, now as a volunteer for the Labrador Winter Games. In 2007, he was invested into the Order of Newfoundland and Labrador. And now, he has been inducted into the province’s Volunteer Hall of Fame. Tony Dawson sat down with Max to talk about his latest acheivment and to have a chat about his memories of community service.
