Making Healthy Food More Accessible

Jill Airhart.JPGGetting to a grocery store when you live in the Mesher street area of Happy Valley-Goose Bay can be a real chore. If you don’t have a car, it means walking or cabbing it to Northmart or to the Co-op several kilometres away. A project is now making healthy food more accessible in that neighbourhood. Jill Airhart is the co-ordinator of the White/Mesher garden project. She took our John Gaudi on a tour, and introduced him to a family who is benefiting from it.
