Scientists and Innu Look for Solution to Declining George River Caribou Herd

George River herd swim to shore.jpgLast week, a group of concerned scientists and Innu met in Northern Quebec to talk about the George River caribou herd. The meeting couldn’t have been more timely. Survey results show the herd is now at just over 27 thousand animals. And it’s declining fast. Down from 74 thousand two years ago. Valerie Courtois just returned from the meeting that was held on the George River. She joins us live in our studio.
