Upgrading the Hydroelectric Plant

While the debate continues to rage about Muskrat Falls, down the road the Churchill Falls generating station is churning out energy like it’s done for more than 40 years. It’s an impressive facility…and the second largest underground hyrolelectric plant in the world. But some equiptment in the plant has been showing its age. And it needs upgrading. CBC’s Peter Cowan got a guided tour of the massive facility from Oral Burry, NALCOR’s manager of long term planning and management.
