A Masters Degree... In Bakeapples
If you want to find the ultimate berry picking patch, you’d better get to know our next guest. He’s not from Labrador, but this is his second summer in the Big Land. And his job is to intensely study bakeapples and partridgeberries to determine what makes them grow fat and juicy. Jiabai Li is a masters student at Nova Scotia Agricultural College and he’s living in Lance au Loup. He has berry watching stations set up across the coast of Labrador. Colleen Connors met up with Jiabai Li during her drive on the Trans Labrador Highway.
