Labrador Woman with Lupus Struggles for Timely Treatment

Margaret Brown.jpgMargaret Brown of Happy Valley-Goose Bay has been struggling with pain and fatigue for years. It’s got so bad that she even had to leave her job. Several months ago, she finally received a diagnosis: Lupus. Her doctor has referred her to a specialist. But as she told our John Gaudi, getting to see that doctor may take a very long time. Also, we get a perspective from Lucy Stoyles, this province’s representative on the national board of Lupus Canada.

Happy Valley-Goose Bay Lawn Sprinkler Ban Explained

The town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay issued a complete water ban on lawn sprinklers over the weekend. The hot sunny weather is defiantly taking its toll on the water supply. And some pipes have separated at Water Well #1 which is the main well for water supply in town. Crews are working to fix the pipes, but the ban is still in place. For the latest, we are joined now by Wayne Wall. He’s the superintendent of works for water and sewer and he joins us live from the site of the well.
