Motorcycle Death on Trans Labrador Highway
RCMP photo A 32-year-old American man is dead following a motorcycle accident on the Trans-Labrador Highway yesterday. It happened around one o’clock in the afternoon, about 100 kilometres west of Happy Valley-Goose Bay. RCMP say the victim was riding his motorcycle when it smashed into the back of another vehicle. A police photo from the scene shows the bike on its side on a section of the dirt road that was under construction. The name of the victim and his hometown have not been released. It was the second fatal motorcycle accident in the province in as many days. On Saturday, a 50-year-old Paradise man died when his bike struck part of a bridge on the Trans-Canada Highway, near the Foxtrap Access Road.
