Jaws of Life - Churchill Falls donates to Mary's Harbour
Equipment used for fire fighting and rescue work is very expensive. Especially for small volunteer fire departments like the one in Mary’s Harbour on Labradors South coast. Recently, that fire department recieved a piece of equipment that will certainly be put to good use. The “Jaws of Life” is used to extract people from car accidents and collapsed buildings. It was donated from Churchill Falls. Labrador Morning’s Mike Power spoke with the Fire Chief in Mary’s Harbour and Churchill Fall’s Deputy Fire Chief to find out how this came about.
