Shortage of Beds at the Labrador Health Centre

yvonne_eric.PNG Yvonne Jones - Eric Power Finding enough beds for patients is a constant challenge at the Labrador Health Centre in Happy Valley Goose Bay. For two days last week, the hospital was filled to capacity…and beds had to be set up in a space normally used as a nursery for newborns. A big part of the problem is that beds are being used by long term care patients with nowhere else to go. We have two guests to talk about the issue. First, Colleen Connors spoke to Yvonne Jones, MHA for Cartwright - L’Anse au Clair. then, acting CEO of Labrador Grenfell Health, Eric Power joins Tony Dawson in studio.
