Manitoba Hydro report on Muskrat Falls
On Wednesday, politicans in St. John’s weighed in on a report analysing the Muskrat Falls project. The Manitoba Hydro report found that Muskrat Falls is cheaper than the alternatives. It says it could cost $2.2 billion less than the Island-Only option over the long term. But the report comes with some caveats. It says there’s a risk of cost overuns of up to 50 percent. Premier Kathy Dunderdale told reporters what she thinks of the Muskrat Falls report. For the record, here’s some of what she said. as well as Liberal MHA Andrew Parsons . He says the province’s Public Ultilities Board should be allowed to do its own review. and NDP Leader Lorraine Michael also emphasized the report didn’t look at all the alternatives.
