Big year for Labour Negotations in Labrador West

lana payne.jpg Lana Payne This year, a lot of workers in Newfoundland and Labrador will see their contracts expire. That means a lot of negotiating of new wage and working agreements. In Western Labrador, a five year contract for workers at the Iron ore company of Canada expires and the end of next month. Given the climate of today’s market in this province, it should make for interesting times at the bargaining table. Lana Payne, President of the Newfoundland and Labrador federation of labour , speaks with Labrador Morning’s Mike Power about her thoughts on what lies ahead this year.
