24 Million for Broadband in Labrador

internet_1.jpgKeith Hutchings, Minister of Innovation and Rural Development announced $24 million to increase broadband service in Labrador. The provincial and federal government along with Bell Aliant are piggy backing on Nalcor’s plans to enhance internet services in Labrador for Muskrat Falls, residents and businesses. Construction on a new cable between Labrador City and Happy Valley Goose Bay starts next spring. Labrdaor Morning’s Colleen Connors was there and speaks to Carol Best with Smart Labradorand gets reaction from from the Town of Happy Valley Goose Bay, 5 Wing Goose Bay and the School Board about enhanced internet services coming to major areas of Labrador.
