New system for First Nations elections ?

It’s a response to community concerns from across the country critical of band elections. The government calls the old rules antiquated and paternalistic. The new act would lengthen the term of office for those elected…and change the way elections can be challenged. Peter Penashue is Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs and MP for Labrador. He’s on the line with Tony Dawson.
