New agreement with Labrador unionized public sector workers

Many employees in Labrador can now look forward to a modest bump in their paychecks. After more than two years of negotiations, a deal has been reached that boosts the Labrador Allowance. The travel allowance is going up too. Unions say considering the rising cost of living in Labrador — the increases couldn’t have come too soon. Bert Blundon is Secretary-Treasurer of the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees.
