Catching up - A letter from 1937

henry fowler1.PNG Henry Fowler 1937 letter.PNG Henry Fowler of Happy Valley-Goose Bay is still savouring a surprise delivery. Recently, he received a phone call from a stranger about a letter his mother wrote more than 70 years ago. That letter eventually landed in Henry’s Fowler’s mail box. Fowler’s mother first wrote the letter to a friend in Toronto in 1937. Then, it ended up in a personal collection of a woman who has a friend living on Labrador’s South Coast. And that South Coast connection led to Henry Fowler. Our John Gaudi visited Henry Fowler at his home in Happy Valley-Goose Bay to see his mother’s letter.
