70 Years of Flight "On the Goose"

MAX PEDDLE 70TH.PNG Max Peddle The Goose Bay airfield is celebrating an important milestone in its long history today. It’s just turned 70 years old. The first airplane landed there on December 3rd, 1941. And thousands more aircraft would make it one of the busiest airports in North America. This afternoon, a reception to honour the 70th anniversary of the first landing is happening in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. And Max Peddle will be there. He runs the military museum on base. Labrador Morning’s John Gaudi met up with him to find out about the airfield’s remarkable history.
