Minister says cost has not increased for oil tanks on the north coast

An assistance plan has been put in place to offset the high cost of service and help with the logistics of the Labrador’s North Coast. The original contract to manage oil tanks has been canceled. The new one has been awarded to Nunatsiavut Supplies Ltd and the cost to participants will now be $1800 instead of the original $1000. To explain changes, Minister of Intergovernmental and Aboriginal Affair, Nick McGrath joins us by telephone from St. John’s.
