Labrador City loses a True Pioneer - Norm Peckham passes away at 84

Norm Peckham_03.jpg Norm Peckham Labrador City has lost one of its pioneers. Norm Peckham passed away last Friday at age eighty four. Norm Peckham, and his wife Pauline along with nine children at the time, moved to Labrador City in 1960. He was very involved with the legion, his church, and served as a member of the Labrador City town council from 1989- 2001, including three terms as deputy Mayor. Former Labrador City Mayor Graham Letto, knew Norm Peckham well. He told Labrador Morning’s Mike Power that Norm Peckham was one of the first people he met, when he moved to Labrador City.
