New Craft Centre for Makkovik

Makkovik is getting a new craft centre where craft producers can develop their products and sell them to visitors. The old centre has been closed since 2007. And Joan Anderson has been pushing for a new one ever since. The Makkovik Inuit Community Government now has $87,500 to rebuild the centre. Anderson is with the Makkovik Craft Council and she’s on the line from Makkovik.
