Heritage on the Churchill River

To many people, it’s a source of employment and promise for generations of Labradorians. But to one man, the Churchill River holds a century’s worth of family history and heritage. His name is Joe Goudie. The former trapper shared that history with a son and a grandson last fall. They loaded up canoes Goudie made himself. And then, joined by a few special friends. They headed out for a week’s journey down the mighty Churchill River. CBC reporter Tara McLean went with them, and joins us in the studio
