And that’s had dire consequences for people in this province. Tonight, The Fifth Estate’s Linden MacIntyre takes a closer look at the service that’s suppose to protect those who work in the world’s harshest waters - the North Atlantic. One Happy mother to be .....Staying in Labrador West to have a baby

Earlier this week, expectant mothers in Labrador West got some news they didn’t want to hear. Family doctors told patients they were no longer delivering babies. For Andrea Fry of Labarador City it would have meant six weeks or more in Newfoundland, away from her family and friends. But now thats all changed. Doctors and Labrador Grenfell Health have worked out an agreement. Doctors will continue to deliver babies, while the matter is under review. Andrea Fry spoke with our Andrew Brown about the recent turn around.

Yvonne Jones thoughts on her party's performance

YVONNE JONES SEPT 30_11.jpgLiberal candidate Yvonne Jones has a different perspective on the provincial election these days. A few months ago, Jones was the party leader. But in an emotional press conference this summer, Jones announced that she’s be stepping down due to her health. That hasn’t kept her out of the race altogether though. She’s still running in Cartwright L’Anse au Clair. That’s where we’ve reached our Jeremy Eaton this morning.
