Inuit remains return to their resting place on Rose Island
Peter Cowan A special ceremony will be happening on Rose Island on Labrador’s North Coast later today. Some Inuit remains that were taken from the area in the 1970s will be repatriated. Our Peter Cowan is in the Torngats for the event. We’ve reached him at the base camp by satellite phone. Edson Way and Edson Way was one of the researchers at Rose Island during that time. He’s since left his career in anthropology for a career in the church. Reporter Colleen Connors reached him from his home in Lubbock, Texas.
