Survival tips for kayaking in Labrador
Jerry Kobalenko The coastline of Labrador demands respect. That’s a lesson two kayakers from Montreal learned earlier this week after they were rescued by the Coast Guard Auxiliary. They spent a night on an island near Cartwright after getting disoriented in fog. That can be easy enough when you’re not familiar with the waters off of Labrador’s coasts. Our guest is no stranger to those waters. Jerry Kobalenko just finished up a 550 km paddle from to Nain to Rigolet this week. That’s where we’ve reached him.
