More Firearms in Torngat Mountains National Park ?
Encountering a polar bear in the Torngat Mountains can be pretty dangerous. Especially if you’re not allowed to carry a gun for protection. Well, Parks Canada is rethinking its firearm regulations for national parks with polar bears. And if new regulations are adopted…certain park users would be allowed to carry firearms to protect themselves and others. Judy Rowell is the Superintendent for Torngat Mountains National Park. She’s on the line to tell us more about the proposed regulations.
