It’s National Aborginal Day. And this morning, we’re taking you to the Labrador Correctional Centre in HVGB. Last week, inmates built an outdoor medicine wheel and an inukshuk on the jail’s grounds. It’s part of a program to teach inmates about traditional ways of healing. Tanya Michelin is the aboriginal liaison at the correctional centre. She’s working to re-introduce cultural teachings like the medicine wheel. Labrador Morning’s John Gaudi met up with her inside the jail to find out more….
