Nain Woman shoots Polar Bear

Maria Dicker Polar Bear hunters on the north coast of Labrador are making up for a bad season last year. The mild winter kept them from getting out for any animals and the licences were carried over to this year. So far this month the community of Nain has filled two of it’s three licences….the latest polar bear was killed this week when hunter Maria Dicker shot her animal north of the community. I reached Maria after she got back to her home in Nain to talk about the experience……
