A Close Call for Provincial Airlines Flight to Labrador

Two planes got way too close for comfort on Monday. An Air Canada Jazz aircraft flying from Halifax to Gander dropped too low. A Provincial Airlines flight out of St Johns enroute to Deer Lake then Wabush was on the same path in the opposite direction. An on-board collision avoidance system sounded an alarm and the PAL pilot dropped the plane. It was a neccessary move but it was a scary experience for the passengers. One of them was Johanna Hibbs and she spoke with CBC reporter Jeremy Eaton
