The Teenager who found the body of an 18 year old snomobiler in Labrador City

On Sunday afternoon, the body of an eighteen year old man was found on the outskirts of Labrador City. An autopsy showed the young man died of Hypothermia, but little else has been said about the case since then. Then yesterday fifteen year old Patrick Beson (BEE suhn) came forward to tell us that he and a friend had been the ones who found the older teens body.Patrick Beson met with reporter Jeremy Eaton, and we have Constable Colin McNeil of the RNC Media Relations on the line.

Lower Churchill Hearings- Rigolet

This time they heard from people in Rigolet. There was a long list of presenters…..one of them was Marie Rich and another one of the people who spoke was Tony Woolfrey and here is an excerpt of what they had to say to the panel members about the proposed development:

Just how close was the close call between PAL and JAZZ this week?

jazz crj.jpg pal dash.jpgThey were two and a half nautical miles apart with a five hundred foot difference in altitude. That’s what we know about the reason a provincial Airlines flight to Wabush had to take a quick descent Monday.
The aircraft in it’s path was an Air Canada Jazz RJ on it’s way to Gander. It was scary for passengers certainly… but we wondered how out of the ordinary this incident was for the crews ….and how concerned they might have been at the time. The airlines aren’t talking about this……so reporter Vic Adhopia went to Yvan-Milville des Chenes He was an air traffic controller for 30 years, and is now an aviation consultant .
