Episode 4

The Charter of Rights and Freedoms Section 7 - Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of the person and the right not to be deprived thereof except in accordance with the principles of fundamental justice.

To understand this all-encompassing concept, I pose six pretty difficult questions to lawyers Noa Mendelsohn Aviv and Graeme Norton from the Canadian Civil Liberties Association, including whether or not I have the right to be a prostitute.

I will also speak with Alexandra de Kiewit and Fran├žois Van Vliet from L'A.D.D.I.C.Q, about the right of addicts to use safe injection sites. It's really where the whole spirit of Section 7 is both put into action and challenged.

Finally, you'll hear from defence attorney, Michael A. Moon, about what to do if you're ever arrested.

But that will never happen to any of you, right?

Right!?!
