A boy named Harry Potter lives with his unfriendly aunt, uncle, and Dudley who is Harry’s cousin. Harry’s mom and dad have died from Harry’s greatest rival, Voldemort. After Voldemort killed Harry’s parents, he tried to kill Harry to, but right before Harry’s mother died, she cast a reverse spell on Harry so the curse that Voldemort put on Harry, went back to Voldemort.
This movie is about Harry going to Hogwarts, a school of witch craft and wizardry. I like the adventures he had, but the bad guys are sort of violent. It would probably be better for 10 year old people and older.

Close but no cigar ... when Lord Voldemort tried to kill young Harry Potter his illegal forbidden spell was reflected back onto himself because of the virtue of the fact that his mother Lily had loved her son unconditionally. Although old magic - love is a powerful ally and should not be dismissed as something frivolous.
Harry's mother Lily cast no such "reverse spell" on Harry and in fact died while trying to shield her son from the infamous Lord Voldermort.
