The Olympics started in ancient Greece as away to honour the gods, all the city-states' men would partcipate and wars would stop so that men could watch or participate in the Olympics,no women could participate in or even watch the Olympics. Now things have changed and Women can participate in and watch the Olympics and people from all over the world compete for meadals.

i love the olympics!!! did you know they are getting rid of the women"s hockey in the olympics after 2010?...because it always comes down to Canada and the U.S.A.

The 2010 olympics are going to be in Vancouver this year and I get to go to a gold medal ceremony!!!!
