James Bond: Casino Royal:

James Bond: Casino Royal is the movie version of the novel by Ian Flemming, starring Daniel Craig as Bond. When a banker who works for a terrorist organization has one of his plots foiled by James Bond, 007, he arranges a very high stakes poker game to try and regain some of his losses. MI6 sends Bond to try and win the game, and in doing so he falls in love with a woman named Vesper Lynd. Unfortunately, Bond is captured and tortured, and later finds out that Lynd was a spy for the terrorist group.

This movie is much cruder than the previous James Bond films, and quite frankly the plot is extremely lacking. The torture scenes are far too graphic for my taste, and after learning that he has been betrayed Bond just picks himself up and keeps on going, apparently with little or no regrets.

In conclusion, this was a good movie, but very different from most James Bond films. Although I know that there are people who would disagree with me I liked Pierce Brosnan much better in the role of 007.

Agreed! Remember Jaws? When I got my braces, my mom kept joking about me being Jaws.

I think that this movie deserves at least five stars! I mean come on! The action sequences at the Miami airport and in Madagascar were just awesome and frankly breath-taking! The plot is good; it alternates some plot moving scenes and action scenes during the poker game. The torture scene is graphic but it is torture, what do you expect? (-Do you expect me to talk? -No Mr Bond, I expect you to die! -Goldfinger) And there is major stunts in this movie, including a world record of car tumbling in the air ( 7 times, I believe, correct me if Im wrong its in the making of!) I have seen pretty much every single one of the 007 movies and this one is by far the best!
Overall, this is a must see action movie for an older audience. 5 out of 5!

I really liked this movie, like really liked it! Def 5-5 the new one wasn't as good but still dec.

Thank you very much for your imput, everyone.

I appreciate your opinions, and I can certainty see it from your point of view. For me I find that - although the stunts are impressive - the lacking plot simply is not made up for by the action.

Quite aside from that, who wants to watch nearly three hours of violence? Lets face it, this movie is not in keeping with the James Bond style, which is sort of the whole point.
