This story is a tragedy and this review is a spoiler. Let me tell you about this movie. Jess and Leslie become best friends. They create an imaginary world called Terabithia. They have a lot of fun until Leslie gets killed by a falling tree. Jess’s parents tell him the bad news and he cries while adults tell him dumb things (for instance "Let's keep her alive.") until the end. The End.
Oh, and by the way Jess and Leslie were kids at the time. In a word it sucks. Don't trust the back of the DVD box. it says it was a heart warming story not the tragedy it is.

I can live with the book but the movie was horrible , Oh and it wasn't a falling tree its was the rope that broke and she drown.

100% agree with you, Hamish.
This movie was marketed as a 'heartwarming magical adventure', so I was expecting something like Narnia, not this depressing thing. 1/5. :/

i just watched this film and it was really good up until the bit at the end with leslie. it made me really sad and frusrated at the same time. its ment to be a kids film but i think its not. it would have been one of my favourite films but that bit ruined it. whats the point in it. i know you cant change the book but if they are going to ruin a lovely story about to friends who should be together then whats the point in making the film. I hated it and i dont think they should have shown it on the kids channel or have made it in the first place it leaves you feeling in some way disapointed
