Donkey Kong Country:

Hi there Mark here and today's review is for a game called Donkey Kong Country for the SNES released back in 1994 by a developing company named rare. This game was the first to use prerenderd 3d character models in a 2d environment. now it was pretty clear that the 3d models weren’t all that 3d but given the technology at the time it was amazing to see something like this being made for a 16 bit console such as the snes. Now Donkey kong is a franchise that has been on the market for over 26 years and until 1994 mario was his rival. now he had a more sinister enemy named King K Rule.

The story goes as this… on Donkey Kong island an evil presence has risen over the land and Donkey Kong finds his paradise torn apart by creatures most evil and the worst part of all this is his Banana horde is now gone. Raged and confused he sets out on an adventure to defeat K.K Rule and get his Bananas back and also save his island.. With the help of his kong family and friends like Cranky Kong and Diddy Kong he is able to set forth on a quest of epic proportions.

The controls were responsive and offer a lot when it comes to how to play the game. you can make your monkey friends roll, jump, beat the ground and throw barrels at your foes but the most koolest feature is swinging off of jungle veins. ahh yes how many hours were spent just swinging along. hmmm maybe that’s why i was afraid of the out doors.

This game has alot of kool ingame scenes that make for funny moments like cranky slapping Donkey on the head or Donkey stepping of Diddy's foot. also another note this game had spawned 2 sequels both are which very popular but never was able to catch the fun this game had.

As for faults there aren’t many that i can think of cept for the replay value not enough of it. i liked playing through the game again but after a while it gets old so all in all I’m gonna give the game a 4 out of 5 for being just so much fun. so get this game and have a monkey of a time...(ok that was corny).

Oh wow! I am in love with this game! Me and Jilli Bean play this all the time! This, and #2... We just CAN'T get past the first level in the snow world! (I forget what it's called...) I really prefer playing Diddy over Donkey in this game; If I get Diddy I'll immediately switch over. His smaller contact size and quicker speed makes it easier to avoid getting hurt. ;)

This game looks like so much fun to play

Personally, I don't like this game. If you want a good game for NES try Super Mario Bros. the first ever one.

I really like your game.I think it's fun
