The Seeker: The Dark is Rising:

Reviewed By: Remarque

Yet another terrible movie based on an excellent, best-selling book! While it was better than Eragon in the sense that it remained (barely) close to the story, they still botched some very important details -
1. They turned Will into a cellphone-bearing, parent-snubbing American, instead of leaving him as the sweet little boy we all knew and loved.
2. They aged Will up a little, again appealing to the masses like they so appallingly did in Eragon. He's now 14, instead of 11.
3. I take it back - they didn't stick to the plot much at all.
4. Need I say more?
Hopefully I don't. It might have been a good movie if I had not read-and-imprinted-on the original book first, but now that I know the atrocities of Hollywood, I know I shall never, ever, EVER watch a movie-novel again. Like, ever.

Oh yes, I must agree, it was terrible. I'm glad someone shares my opinion on this movie. Although I have not actually read the novel, this film was still terrible. It took all my willpower to sit through it. :l
