Final Fantasy 5:

Hi there. Mark here giving you yet another review of a game that is great in all the sense of the word. The name Final Fantasy is well known mainly do to Final Fantasy 7 and 10. now those are great games don't get me wrong but seems people are forgetting the older titles like Final Fantasy 5 which wasn't released in america and canada till late 2003 because it was a japanese exclusive game title. I had the luck of playing it in japanese way back in 94 although my japanese wasn't all that great. back then it still was able to give me the fun and enjoyment a videogame is supposed to give.

The graphics are amazing especialy for the size of the game. the title clocks in at about 40 to 45 hours and with a Super NES it's hard to fit in good graphics and a long game into 1 cartridge but Square did it and with amazing results. The story goes as this a young princess and a young warrior is set out to save the 5 earth crystals from being destroyed. each crystal is used to balance out the earth's energy. if all are destroyed the earth dies with them. So the 2 set out on an adventure to save the crystals with the help of 3 other members who join your quest throughout the game. The game also includes job classes. each character can choose a class like barder, knight, dancer and each class has a different effect and each uses its own weapons giving you multiple ways to play the game.

As for flaws there are very few. the only flaw i can even think of is the fact that lack of party member although each member has a great back story and look it isn't enough seeing as those characters can get very boring after a while. 2 more characters would have been nice just to add some refreshing moments within the game after 30 hours of playing. But other than that there isn't anything bad about this game so if you ever find this game for your Super NES try it out and enjoy a game that for years has entertained this rpgs fan.
