I think that "The Golden Compass" was a great movie and all, but compared to the book. All I can say is that if you thought the movie was good then u should read the book. It's one of my favourite books And if you think that books are not worth the time then maybe your not exploring enough. Try new things and read new books cause you never know what you might find. I recommend this book to one and all. Lyra and Iorek (Iorek is the panserborjne polar bear from the north) are amazing characters. You should meet them, in this wonderful story of courage, strength, willpower and determination. Never have I read a more interesting novel. Remember, never drop a book without reading it first. I hope you all read The Golden Compass, by Philip Pullman. I rate this book with Five Shining Stars.

I think the movie was rubbish, if you haven't seen the movie, don't bother! The Bee Movie is much better!

I read this book and the other 2 books in the trilogy. (The subtle Knife and The Amber spyglass) They were so good! I rate them 5 out of 5 too!

I disagree, the movie may have missed some stuff but they did an allright job. the books are much better though

what happened with the movie's ending? I hated the movie. it even skipped the cocktail partah!!! I HATE THE MOVIe
