The story takes place in Euclid, Ohio, when a girl named Phoebe finds odd notes on her doorstep that she thinks might have something to do with the disappearance of her mother. Meanwhile Sal, Phoebe's friend, is trying to figure out why her mother left her mysteriously. It's a really great book!
