March of the Penguins:

Reviewed By: Madeline

Rating: 3 out of 5

This movie was advertised as being a great "family movie." For some people, it was pretty good, but in NO way like a family movie.
This movie desribes the life of penguins in different seasons. There are no specific characters, it's just a group of penguins, some predators, and some prey. The movie does include death of unborn penguins, young penguins, and mature penguins.
The movie is basically a docurmentary, not a family movie. I wasn't able to see the whole thing because the death was too much for my little sister and we had to leave. The facts this movie gives may be interesting to some people, and the death may be sad to some people. I personally thought it was a bit interesting, but was aggravated that it was advertised as a family movie when it wasn't even close to such.
This movie really didn't have humor or horror moods, it was just facts of penguin life. I gave it a 3 out of 5 because it wasn't awful, it just wasn't like a family movie as it was advertised.
I really dislike false advertising.

From the start, that looked like the kind of movie that nobody under the age of 10 could sit through without getting bored. My cousin refuses to watch penguin movies now because it showed baby penguins dying, which scared her.

Yeah, it's a documentary. I found it kind of interesting, but my sister doesn't want to except the circle of life and how it effects penguins. She was alos hoping for a funny family movie.
Thanks for commenting!

It was a good movie, to my surprise. Although it is a documentry, it was surprisingly good and interesting and...yeah. Anyway, I liked it and so did my little sister. (Though the babies dying WAS sad...)

I think that this movie contains a lot of good info and it has sad parts then again, this is the life of a penguin and if the penguins can accept it, we should too. Be glad that we all don't have the life of a penguin!

I thought it was true but definetly not a family /G-rated movie. I think it should've been at least a PG-rated movie . Though it is what happend in nature !
