I sumbitted a review about a certain book, The book of Thunder( Fourth book in the Diadem series). Not many people know this series, and it's a fascinating book written by John Peel. I first saw some of my classmates reading it, and at that time I thought it was a boring old book. I was wrong. I read one book and my brain became addicted to it. It pushed me to read the second book, the third and the fourth.
The book of Thunder is about a leader of a unicorn herd, Thunder. He has a wife called Nova and a daughter called Flame. In the book, Score, Helaine and Pixel ( they are magicians) try to help Thunder, because he is provoked in a duel with Tychus, another unicorn. If Tychus wins the duel, he takes the place of Thunder as leader. Thunder lost in the battle, but it wasn't a fair battle. Nova, Score and Pixel (Helaine and Flame were spying on Tychus because he was suspicious)take Thunder to a certain castle, where Thunder falls asleep. During Thunder's dream, he sees the previous leader of the herd, Dark Star. Many years before, Dark Star dissapeared mystiriously, so Thunder took his place. In Thunder's dream, Dark Star tells him to go find a stone and decode the writing. When Thunder wakes up, Score, Pixel, Thunder and Nova go to the stone and decode the writing. The writing said to go in a cave and find him so Dark Star can tell him something important.
I think the book is great, just GREAT. My favourite thing was when Tychus (his real name is Marmanki) tried to kill himself so he could possess another body, because his real identity has been revealed. My least favourite thing is when Pixel melted a cube of ice; the ice contained a griffin and it was alive! Luckily, he didn't let it get out.
Overall, I think the book was fantastic. You (whoever you are) should read this book.
