The movie "Stomp Out Loud" is an excellent movie for all ages. It proves the saying that "Someone's garbage is another person's gold". In this presentation, the performers make use of what they have and redefine and give garbage a whole new meaning. In the 21st century, we just go out into the store and purchase material goods. We don't create with our hard work and let our imagination run wild. This movie also depicts that music and sounds are all around us. We just have to journey into the world of imagination/creativity and coordinate and organize the sounds to fit in with one another. That's what makes sounds so special. It is just the way you manipulate them that makes them unique in there own ways. Like Einstein said, "Imagination is more important then knowledge". "Stomp Out Loud" also shows the variety of things you can do and create with just a few items. You don't need any sort of high-end drum system or any state-of-the-art technology. You have the most powerful tool of all; your mind.
Music can be made out of almost anything. In the olden days, people didn't have digital drum sets or high-tech technology to serve there artistic needs. They created with what they had. There are no boundaries and sky is the limit with music. Music is not like the ordinary subject like math that requires you to know the answer to the equation or the formula. Music requires a heart, an inner feeling. There is no right or wrong answer in music. Music is about exploring who you are, and what your mind can create. Music is about experimentation and thinking outside the box. It is not a black and white situation, but a one filled with colors. The characters in the movie make music with anything they can get there hands on. Could you ever imagine that old things lying around your house could create amazing music? Beat and music is about expressing your emotions and the characters in "Stomp Out Loud" certainly know how to do just that .
When my father was young he didn't have mp3's or digital technology to serve as enjoyment. He and his friends created with there mind's eye. My father created microphones and speakers of what was just lying around here and there. You may think that it was foolish to play with such things, but actually people in those times were smarter than us. They didn't just sit in front of the television and look at what other people's creation but they created themselves. Both availability and affordability was scarce in those times. The truth is that we are relying upon artificial intelligence more and more and our intellectually creative side is deteriorating. Our whole world runs through a beat and pattern. Even our heart goes at a beat and rhythm. This movie also shows the importance of coordination, collaboration, and teamwork. One of the most important things in music is teamwork. Without joint effort almost nothing is possible. We have started to live in a world where we are very apart from one another.
Coming to the point, where even families don't sit together and eat on the dinner table. Music and teamwork go hand in hand. Teamwork holds the group together like a screw. In "Stomp Out Loud" everyone is coordinating with one another. Like they say, "There is no I in team". The best sound I liked was the broom's "Sweep, sweep and "Bang, bang" sounds. I favored the sound of a broom, because a broom is a household utensil we use almost everyday, and it was amazing to see and hear what wonders you can play on it with your imagination. The broom made a variety of sounds according to the way it was held. This movie really teaches lots of lessons about making use with what you have, utilizing your imagination, and working as a team. If you buy a ticket a ticket for this presentation, your money will be worth it. You'll have a once in a lifetime experience.
"Stomp Out Loud" is one of my all time favorite because it is not like the ordinary movie that shows dramatic scenes, but this movie is inimitable.
