I hate it too and its funny because about 90% of everything we learn in school we will never use in our life times because most jobs nowadays have training. but they give it to use to learn to learn if that makes and sense to anyone. But if teachers collect it the next morning for marks I would suggest doing it.

You are so right. Why do we need homework anyway? The teachers just want us to write until our hands fall off. What is up with that? We get soooo much homework. Sometimes before a test, we get homework on weekends. I thought that we were supposed to relax and have fun on weekends. Then you have to work for the whole day because you get homework and the work at school. I HATE HOMEWORK!!!!

Well i dont really liek homework either but I mean its sortta a good thing to have i mean liek i helps you understand things with out going up to the teacher every question to get the answer and i teaches you how to spell things properly and stuff liek that so i dont think homeworks all that bad at least you learn stuff from it and yeah thats all i really have to say i mean i have been getting homework everyday for the past 8 years and i tell you by the time you get into junoir high your goin to have a lot more because you have like 6 or 7 different teachers and they dont care about liek your other activities your in or the amount of homework you have in other classes so you can get up to liek a pile of home work some nights and then some nights you might have barely any so yeah it also teaches you to be responcable but thats all i really have to say so yeah its nothing to complain about but thats just my point of view

Homework is alright. I personally don't like it but it can help you learn faster & do better in school. It will also give you something to do @ home when you don't have something to do. wow i never realized how much i missed school and homework try working for a living coming in 9 hours and being bored and stressed it gets to you oh how i wish i was back in school reliving my old junior high days.

Homework takes up the time I could be using to hang out with my friends and get exercise outside. By the time I'm done, it's too late for me to do anything. Yeah, Homework sucks. My French teacher gave us homework over Christmas Vacation! It wasn't too hard, but just the thought of Homework during vacation makes me so mad!

i duno if i wrote "anonymous" t right...not like i ever learned that...i used to be one of the smartest kids in class and then i started to think wat i needed to learn certain things for...now im getting c's and d's wen im used to getting a's and b's. TRUST ME if ur on top of your game in like grade 5, stay on top of it cuz the work isnt always as hard as the other kids cry about...maybe theyre just stupid?? !?!!! but truly you will need decimals and stuff in the long run just think of school as training for the future. Everything you learn youll need in atleast highschool. so learn and learn and never say never.

Obviously many of us don't enjoy doing homework but if it means we are able to learn more efficiently while we're in school then it is worthwhile. Homework is like the practices before a championship game. If you mess up during practice, that's fine you can learn from your mistakes and get help from your coach (or teacher). But say you skip practices because you think it's a 'waste of time' then you're going to look like an idiot in the game. If you stay on top of your homework, you'll be more confident in your studies and get higher grades. If doing homework daily can increase your mark why wouldn't you want to do it??? Wow, I can't wait until some of you get to high school. :P lol. To everyone who says homework takes up all the time that they could be exercising and hanging out with friends, all I can say is time management. You know that 'stupid' agenda we all get? Use it. Then you'll at least be organized enough to stay healthy.

What's with the new rule going on in Toronto? grades 6 and under having no homework?! While us oder kids suffer with even more! That rediculus idea will never work! There is not enough time in a day to do eveything! And, no matter how hard they try, there will always be homework from handing in a pizza form to a frip form. How about parents signing a test? or having to bring props in for a play or science project. All I'll say is they can't escape homework. How about studieing for tests? That's a nother issue. Thanks.

I don't like homework either and I agree that we do enough in school. Don't teachers realize that we have lives and we need time to be kids and that we can't always be working! Oh and I know that it is a lot easier like this "omg i hate homewurk soooooooo much!" but it is really annoying and kind of hard to read.

A recent study showed that homework actually put more stress on the students and caused them to get more fat because of stress and needing to eat . you know in one of the states in Australia homework is banned? i get enough stupid work at school

homework is okay up until grade4 then you have to do novel study,multiplucation,division,grammer...ect.
