Fawlty Towers:

My review is on the old British TV show Fawlty Towers(which is now on DVD). Fawlty Towers is a series of 12 episodes about a British hotel in Torquay. What makes this show the most famous is probably that is is written and starring the famous comedian, John Cleese. It is a hilarious comedy that has great actors (Andrew Sachs as Manuel, Connie Booth as Polly, Prunella Scales as Sybill and Brian Hall as Terry) and has really funny lines that had me rolling in my seat. I enjoyed it so much that I've told all my friends about it and they think it's great as well.

John Clesse is probably one of the best actors in the world. He plays the main character: the owner of the hotel, Basil Fawlty. His unusual sense of humor is great and can probably get the grumpiest of people laughing. I think he is the best actor in the movie but Manuel is my favorite character.

Manuel is a spanish waiter that was brought over from Barcelona. He doesn't understand English very well, so his lack of understanding is a real knee-slapper. His facial expressions themselves could get this movie a top rating.

In conclusion, I think anybody would love Fawlty Towers, it's quirky, quick-witted, amusing and really well-written and well-directed. It'll be the most funny movie you'll ever see.

I LOVE FAWLTY TOWERS

I once had a pet rat I named Basil ...
(He's not a rat! Is siberian hamster, pedigree!)
hahahahah

I love Fawlty Towers and Monty Python too! I got Fawlty Towers on dvd for Christmas, and I got Monty Python's Holy Grail, And Now For Something Completely Different, and Life of Brian. In Fawlty Towers I love when Basil beats up his car with the tree branch. John Cleese is an amazing actor.

My parents introduced this show to me when I was a young kid. I loved it instantly. I really like Manual and Basil. I love how Manual is always misinterpreting what Basil says to him. In one epidsode, Basil and Manual are in the restaruant of the hotel and Manual is annoying some of the guests. Manual is holding an orange and Basil tells him to 'throw it away', so Manual tosses it into the air behind him.
