I am reviewing Nancy Drew: The Clue of the whistling bagpipes. This was my first original Nancy Drew. I loved it! If you have never tried reading a Nancy Drew I suggest you do. These books are amazing, with a mix of mystery,travels and a little bit of romance. I will admit the beginnings are not always that thrilling but once you get into it-Wow!-they rock.

This particular nancy Drew takes place in Scotland when Nancy and her father go to Nancy's great grandma's house to solve the mystery of a missing family heirloom. This book actually has 2 mysteries, the heirloom and the people behind the sheep rustling taking place. As Nancy uncovers more clues,she stumbles across an unlikely way the rustlers communicate.

I won't give away the suspenseful ending, but my favorite part was when the 3 detectives(Nancy,Bess,and George) come across the ancient ruins. I love the conclusion to the mystery and I hope you will too.

Whee! Nancy Drew is awsome! Especially the old 70's TV series. We own all of the yellow spine books...
