I love this book. Now this goes out to anyone who loves this book......DO NOT SEE THE MOVIE!! The movie is horrible, everything is wrong. It seems that now a days people take great books and make movies that dont have anything to do with the book. Maybe before they make the movie the director should read the book first!

i agree with issac that the movie is bad i dident get the description right for any of the charecters (they did somwhat) but look at poor brom what they did to him!

not a good book extermly slow and dull if u ever want to read this book my edvice is NOT.

JUST READ IT

The book is a fantastic blend of mythology and fantasy, anyone who calls the book absolute tripe is a foul little git, and obviously you dont know what good literature is at ALL(Amera,and Steven), and the two of you should try and get the book through your puny little minds before calling it garbage. Although i loved the book and thought it was fantastic the movie was absolutely HORRIBLE, the seeting was completely wrong the characters we out of place and theeir personalities were all wrong, and some characters didn't even exist in the movie, where as they played an important role in the novel (i.e. Jeod)and Eragon starts to learn the Ancient Language and 45minutes into the movie hes an EXPERT?!?!?!?! the Urgals were men and looked nothing like how they were described in the book, and that goes for the Ra' Zac as well.
All in all people should give the book a little respect even if you havent read it and if you have and thought that it was rubbish , well thats your opinion now isn't it ?

look at the book, he learns the ancient language in a few months? i dont think so. he goes from a farmboy to the best swordsman in the land in a few months? i dont think so
please don't criticise us for having a sense of taste and good style

i loved this book and can't wait for the 2nd. but for you people who don't like it the only relitively atceptable excuse for not likeing it is if your a lazy little brat who is too lazy to read a long book or actually do any comprehending
