I have written a review that is directly contrary to yours. this book was awful. Also, think about the plot of inheritance compared to star wars. they are very similar. In both star wars and Eragon, A young farm boy of misty origin's cousin and uncle are killed by fire by the evil emperor's servants. The Boy sets out with an old man, who gives him a magical sword and teaches him the ways of an ancient order of knights. The boy then frees a princess of the rebels, after the old man died to protect him. The boy and a rogue he meets join the rebels, and participate in a final battle, destroying something of great power that has the ability to kill many things. And so on.

Maybe Arya is the new rider of the Emerald Green Dragon that is confirmed to be featuring on the cover of Empire (though as far as i know this title is unconfirmed). What made me think this is that i am pretty sure when arya uses magic is is green just as when eragon uses magic it is blue. This is just a thought.

I also cannot wait until this book comes out. It will probably take forever because i live in Australia and it always takes forever for things to be released over here. Grrrrr...

Well I just have to say that I LOVE THIS TRILIGY!!! And I'm so excited for the third book to come out! And the date that it comes out has NOT been confirmed. Anyway I did not like the movie very much. It was a good movie if you've never read the book but it left out so many parts! Like Katrina. And the whole time Eragon and Arya were flirting. Well I know that either Arya or Roran are going to become the next rider. Probably Roran. I can't wait for the next book to come out!!!

We don't know yet. Glaeger is the Gold Dragon that belongs to Orosmis. He is missing a leg, and not Glaeder will not be the name of the third book. It is supposedly going to be Empire, but no one is sure.

Paolini said there might be other family members of Eragon and Murtagh that we do't know yet. So if there is another sibling of Eragon, he/she will most likely be the Dragon Rider as it would be a family of Dragon Riders.

Other than that, the only people that I could think of that would be the Dragon Rider would be Arya, Roran, or Nasuanda.

i love the first book and second book! eragon and saphira are fantastic charactors. i hope that the third book WILL be called Empire! i can't wait till it comes out. i think that roran should be the next dragon rider. if not him, then arya or nasuanda should.

I love both Star Wars, and Inheritance (<---though the movies aren't very good at all for Inheritance) and it kills me to think that people believe one copied of the other. I am very familiar with Star Wars, and at no point did it even cross my mind while I was reading the current Inheritance books the Christopher Paloni copied. I completely agree that these book are dangerously similar to the Star Wars plot. Buuuuut it's not like it would be impossible for christopher p. to, without thinking of star wars at all, happen to write a similar story line! It's not that hard to think of!

I mean, first- The main character has a normal quiet life. (Farmer is the first thing that pops into mind when you think of a simpleton life. And if the character has both parents alive, and well, that's boring. So in that case, a person would think of an extended small family, like an uncle and cousin as a replacement. Since the parents/siblings are assumed missing or dead (or not even knowing they exist), it sets out the assumption of some unknown past that could have led to the parents/siblings being dead or missing.)

Then- Something exciting happens, the main character may not know it yet, but they will soon alter the course of history. (Now this is something that you cannot blame c.p. for copying - it is a popular concept in tons of stories/movies/books/tv series. You want the character to seem important, extra special from the rest, this is the first way people think of doing it.)

Theeen- a wise, experienced one helps the main character to learn in depth what must be done, and how to do it, teaching an ancient art / the skills required. Since most of the time, they were there to see the evil/problem/villain rise. (Again, not a rare idea to put in a story either. This happens in all forms, in tons of plots all over - as a sensei, an elder, a practical legend, even someone who you are close to who turns out to be this amazing person. Brom and Obi-wan are both old because usually when a person thinks of a wise, experienced one, they think of a person old enough to have been there from the practical begging of the issue, and had experience through it.)

And Then- branishing their new skills, the main character saves/meets/comes across the path of another who is on their side - an ally. Possibly more allies to come. (Again, this is common too. It is pure cowincidence that in both stories, the "other" it is a princess who the main character saves. Saving a princess is a common thing to happen in stories, so no fingers can be pointed!)

The adventure goes on bla bla bla . . . in the end the day is saved

i hope Arya is the next Rider. it would be cool to have a female Rider. I REALLY WANT THE NEXT BOOK!!!! I wonder what the green Dragon's name is? I think Arya is the next Rider because then she would have a male dragon and eragon would have a female dragon and they would both be in love. I wonder.....

the movie was good two but im sure i would have enjoyed it more if i hadnt already read the book- or if they just made the script more like the book. other than that it was ok.

I have read both books many times each and each time they just get better! I'm on my 15th time of reading Eragon and 10th for reading Eldest. They are the best books I've ever read and I want to read them again and again. Can't wait for book three. Wish I could find definitive info on the title but more importantly the release date. Really hard to wait and wonder.

I found Eragon quite interesting. i'd read Eragon and Eldest, which is alots of fun.
I'd finish those book in 1 weeks and a half.

I love the Inheritance trilogy and the way Paolini writes them. With so many details and all. I can't wait for the third book. I was really mad, because the school librarian said it was coming out this June but obviously it hasn't. I highly doubt Arya or Roran will be the next riders. I'm pretty sure he will bring in another charrie or the rider will be a surprise. I think it would be a bit boring if Arya or Roran were riders, because you already are familiar with them and know their character. I also can't wait to see how Saphira acts around the new dragon. Sorry for the long message!

The third book is not coming out, I think, till the end of the summer this year or sometime in 2009...I can't remember. I went to Amazon.com to look for books and they had a banner up for the new release of the 3rd book in the trilogy (Possibly more than a trilogy as people keep saying though there has been no direct proof) The release date is officially September 20th 2008. The book is called Brisingr after the true name of fire. It's cover looks to be black with a Golden-ish dragon looking to the right. If you want to check it our for yourself, go to Amazon.com and go to their books section and the banner should be up there. Or just use the search bar to find it.

The Inheritace cycle was planned to be trilogy,but on Oct. 30 2007 Paolini revealed that the third book was so big he had to split it into two bks. this bk. wil also be bigger than Eragon or Eldest.The title is Brisinr,it'll come out Sep. 20 2008.But no one knows the title or the release date for bk.#4. Brisinr [meaning fire in the ancient language] is one of the first words Eragon learns in the ancient language.So it has particular signifigance,and will be more important than anyone could have guessed. The cover of this bk. will have a picture of Glaedr on it and is illistrated by John Hude "Pallencar". Some things that should have been revealed in the third book might now be revealed in the fourth book. Some thing that might be revealed in the fourth book include: more info about Tornac (Murtagh old trainer), how Thorn matured fast enough to rival Saphira despite their age diference, Eragon and Saphira will have to return to the elves because they took an oath, Eragon needs to get his new weapon and Sulembum said "when the time come and you need a new weapon look under the roots of the monoa tree", Eragon needs to go to the vault of souls and speek his name as instructed by Sulembum, more dwarf coulture will be revealed. Ajihad's and Arya's background will be revealed. In Brisinr Eragon will meet a god and also a new enemy who likes to laugh a lot.
