Musical goodness from around Alberta.
Saturday, Oct 22 we head to the Edmonton Folk Music Festival to hear The McDades, playing their signature blend of celtic, folk and world music. It's a spectacular live hometown show on a hot summer night.
Saturday, Oct 29, we'll hear two very different live performances. Rapper Cadence Weapon (aka Roland Pemberton, Edmonton's former Poet Laureate) plays his high-energy hip-hop at the Calgary Folk Music Festival; and Calgary songwriter Trina Nestibo plays an intimate live set with violinist Aldo Aguirre and chats with Katherine at the CBC Calgary Open House.
